For the comfort of all of our guests we do not allow the use of electronic cigarettes within our premises. Although we realise that the fumes are just vapours and non harmful, this is not clearly understood by everyone and can lead to confusion for others. Therefore, to prevent this, we request that guests do not use this product in our premises.

Meat portions

Carving is a much practiced skill and whilst we do give our carvers a weight guide to carve per portion, dependent on whether it is for an adult or a child, it is unlikely to be exact and will depend on the individual's skill level. Variations in the type of roast chosen and the thickness of the slices can mean that some portions weigh more even though it may look the same portion on the plate. Overall, we do believe that our portions represent great value for money and the majority of feedback we receive seems to suggest the same.

Menu prices

Proof of age

Should a guest look under the age of 21, then identification will be asked for, of which only the following will be accepted:

  • Proof of age card with "PASS" accredited hologram
  • International passport (including military ID cards)
  • UK photo-card driving licence (full or provisional)

Our Challenge 21 scheme is firmly embedded within the Company. In line with police guidance, our pub teams are fully trained to recognise and accept the above forms of ID.

By law it is an offence to sell alcohol to a person aged under 18. Anyone under the age of 16 years must be accompanied by an adult. As a retailer of alcohol, we are mindful of our duty of care to our customers, staff and the wider community. It is therefore Mitchells & Butlers' Company policy not to allow under 18s to consume alcohol on our premises under any circumstances.

Vegetable calendar

Our vegetable selection varies throughout the year taking into account seasonality, availability and guest preferences. Whilst particular favourites such as cauliflower and carrots are available all year round, we do try to vary a range of other popular vegetables that we know our guests like, by making a change on a monthly basis. This can mean that a vegetable is not available for a short time and then comes back at a later date.

Guests frequently give us feedback on our vegetable selection and we recognise that having some changes throughout the year as well as offering range and choice is part of the appeal of visiting Toby Carvery.

Vegetarian options

We do provide a selection of vegetarian options but these can vary from day to day. We therefore advise you to ask your server which dishes are available during your visit.
